A list of companies to Export Medical Face Masks
On April 15th, Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc has approved the export of medical face masks and protective clothing, as long as domestic demand, including reserves, is met first.
These products could only be exported to countries that have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, Phúc asked.
Even Mr. Phuc urged the ministries of health and industry and trade to take early actions so producers could export medical face masks and protective clothing as many countries are facing shortages of these products in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, but the administration took a long while to determinate a criteria and procedures for related agencies to executive.
As a result, it may pass the “golden” timing for many customers in need. The markets around the world have slowly established the relationship for these medical devices. The supply chain seems to be already established.
For example, in Czech Republic, from May 1, 2020 the Government won’t take an order (as Government – customer) and it leaves to each hospital and organization to take care of buy by themselves.
On other side of globe, Canadian companies with heavy support of federal government and province’s governments have started huge production of face masks and another accessories. With strong industrial foundation, it is only a question of time that these accessories will be enough for local use and even for export.
Japan and other countries did stay behind and already started production to cover (and export) these items for sure with much higher quality and reputation.
The Ministry of Health must propose amendments to the Government’s Resolution 20/NQ-CP dated February 28 to facility exports of these products. Under the resolution, medical face masks can only be exported for international aid and assistance provided by the Government, with export volume capped at 25 per cent of the producers’ total output.
